COVID-19 FAQ:

Q: Are you open regular hours?

Yes. We will remain OPEN with regular business hours.

Q: What changes should I expect when picking up my prescriptions?

As of May 14, 2020, our pharmacies will limit the number of customers allowed in the store at a time. Limits will be set based on square footage and the ability to practice physical distancing. We are offering call ahead Curbside Service or FREE Home Delivery.

Q: How are your stores meeting recommendations for social distancing?

Both locations have social distancing lines, indicated with tape and signage that begin 6 feet away from checkout and pharmacy counters, and is marked in 6-foot increments to indicate where customers should stand while waiting.

​

Additionally, we have installed protective (plexi)glass shields located at our checkout and pharmacy counters where social distancing is not possible. These barriers may help reduce or eliminate virus exposure (per CDC recommendations).

Q: How do I pay for my prescriptions?

For the safety of our patient’s and our staff, no cash or checks will be accepted. All payment information will be taken over the phone for curbside service or delivery. In-store transactions will allow customers the option of using the credit card pin-pad.

Q: When & where do you deliver? And is there a fee?

We are waiving our delivery fee and offering FREE home delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. Delivery is available Monday-Friday & Saturday’s based on location and staff availability. To help stop the spread and keep our patients safely at home, we are expanding our delivery services. We will deliver to Southport, Boiling Spring Lakes, Bolivia, and Supply. Please call us for specific times we will be in your area.

Q: Are you requiring team members to wear masks behind the counter?

Yes. We require our team members to wear masks or face covers.​

​

Q: Do customers entering Galloway-Sands Pharmacy have to wear a mask?

Consistent with CDC guidelines, customers are asked to wear masks or face covers before entering the store except where doing so would inhibit the individual's health or where the individual is under two years of age. Front door signage instructing customers of mask requirements are posted.​

​

We encourage customers to wear a mask or face covering, however, out of concern for employees' safety, Galloway-Sands advises against confronting customers about the policy or trying to keep them from entering the store.

Q: Is Galloway-Sands providing hand sanitizer for customers use while in-store & at register?

Yes. Hand sanitizer will be located at the register for customer use while in-store.

​

Q: Are you taking extra precautions to keep your stores clean?

We are increasing the frequency of daily cleaning procedures including high-traffic areas, counter tops, and point-of-sale terminals.

​

Q: What over-the-counter items do you have in stock that could benefit me during the COVID-19 outbreak?

While supplies last, we have, hand sanitizer, thermometers, aloe, tissues, paper towels, Immune Defense HyberBiotics, First Defense Nasal Screens, Eco Air Doctor, AnandaHemp products and Physicians 360 at-home flu tests. Please call for details.

NOT IN STOCK: Masks, gloves, toilet paper, or alcohol.

Q: Can I still get an immunization at your pharmacy?

As recommended by the CDC, we are postponing all immunizations at this time. No immunizations or direct patient contact services will be administered until proper PPE and training are readily available or CDC recommendations change.​

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we want to reassure everyone of our commitment and dedication to providing our community with the best care, products and services needed.

 

We are doing everything we can to help ensure the health of our customers and staff during the pandemic, while at the same time continuing to deliver uninterrupted care. Our pharmacy team is trained to help all patients get the medication they need through services such as, early refill authorizations, additional medication supply, curbside assistance, and FREE home delivery. Also, our staff is ready to serve as a resource to help address any patient questions/concerns.

 

We are closely monitoring the situation, and will continue to follow all federal, state, and local health recommendations. We will remain open and operational, with regular business hours. However, to help minimize contact and stop the spread, we will limit the number of customers allowed in the store at one time. These limits will vary based on location & square footage. 

 

The following temporary, safety adjustments are in place:

  • Patients have the option of either call ahead curbside service or FREE home delivery. In-store pick up is available with social distancing requirements.

  • Masks or Face Coverings are required for all in-store transactions.

This is an unprecedented time and we take our role in this community very seriously. We want our patients to understand that you are more than just customers to us- you are our friends, our neighbors, and our family.
